ADASH presents WAVIS — a triaxial wireless vibration sensor designed for use with the ADASH VA5 Pro analyzer. The solution enables vibration measurements without a direct cable connection between the sensor and the instrument, which is particularly useful for hard-to-reach, hazardous or inconvenient machine measurement points.
WAVIS allows measurements in all three directions — X, Y and Z — and can be used for overall vibration values, FFT analysis and machine condition diagnostics. The wireless connection makes field work easier, especially when measurements need to be performed from a safe distance or when cables would make access, safety or measurement reliability more difficult. The practical value of this type of sensor is clear for machines with moving parts, limited access or increased operator risk — fans, pumps, gearboxes, motors, conveyor systems, cranes, production lines and other industrial equipment. In such cases, wireless measurement can reduce setup time, improve safety and make data collection easier.
For maintenance and vibration diagnostics teams, WAVIS represents an interesting step toward more flexible on-site measurements. It does not replace expert analysis, but it can make the measurement process faster, more convenient and safer, especially for routine checks or initial machine condition assessments.
