Instantel introduces Micromate Plus as a new generation solution for field monitoring of vibration, noise, and air overpressure, designed for construction, mining, infrastructure, and blasting applications. The system is intended for projects where reliable monitoring of environmental impact, nearby structures, and sensitive facilities is essential.
According to information published by Instantel, Micromate Plus combines vibration, air overpressure, and sound monitoring within a single device, with all measurements fully time-synchronized and available for near real-time observation through the Vision II platform. The system features built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, GPS, a USB-C interface, and automatic cloud-based data transfer capabilities.

The unit is engineered for long-term field deployment and operation in harsh environments. Micromate Plus features an IP68-rated enclosure, industrial-grade Mil-Spec connectors, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +55°C. Instantel also highlights support for solar-powered operation and easy sensor replacement without removing the main unit from the monitoring location.
The system supports simultaneous use of triaxial geophones, air overpressure microphones, and Class 1 sound microphones. Data can be retrieved remotely through Vision II or locally via USB-C connection, providing flexibility for sites with limited communication infrastructure. According to Instantel, the platform supports multiple international standards and customizable compliance reporting for project-specific requirements.
SPECTRI’s partners from Instantel continue to expand the Micromate product line as a solution for continuous monitoring in environments where data traceability, reliability, and remote access are critical for safe operation and environmental control.
Micromate Plus is suitable for:
- construction companies;
- mining operators;
- quarries;
- blasting contractors;
- infrastructure projects near buildings and sensitive facilities;
- monitoring during tunneling, pile driving, and heavy transportation activities.
